Event Details

The Sam Seltzer ’48 Mentors Forum provides current Cornell students with the opportunity to engage, one on one, with alumni, Family Business Scholars, advisors and family business leaders. Students are able to select their own agendas and interest areas for exploration during the time they spend with our mentors.

Typically held in Ithaca, we are excited to be holding the Mentors Forum on the Cornell Tech campus in New York City for the first time.

Students are increasingly seeking out opportunities to interact with family business industry leaders on a variety of topics, including:

  • New business opportunities
  • New career opportunities
  • Returning, or not returning to the family business
  • The role of women in their family’s business
  • Leadership
  • New perspectives
  • Succession planning
  • Family wealth and values
  • Family conflict
  • Family office
  • Family governance
  • Family enterprise advising & role of consultants
  • Legal considerations in family business

If you are interested in participating in the Mentors Forum please complete the registration form and share the event with your colleagues. Registration is open to current students and young alumni that have graduated within the last 5 years.

Interested in being a Mentor?
We welcome your participation and invite you to have an impact in the lives of our students and the next generation of family business leaders. Please complete the inquiry form if you are interested in serving as a mentor for all or part of the day, so that we can save your spot as well as match you with the most appropriate students.

This forum is made possible through the generous support of Sam Seltzer ‘48, and Jason Fein SHA BS ’85, MPS ’91. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
